With us finally coming down to the business end of the season, we are starting to get a feel for how the season has panned out and how the Premier League is going to finish in terms of winners, Champions League positions, Europa League positions, and relegation. Although, this time of year also gives us the opportunity to look at the individual awards and most importantly who is going to be crowned PFA Player Of The Year.
Heavy favourite for the award this year is Bruno Fernandes who since joining Manchester United has been a revelation and turned the Red Devils back into a side that can be looking for Premier League titles in the coming years. This season in the Premier League, he has registered 16 goals and 11 assists and has a seriously impressive goal involvement rate since joining the club. The only drawback is that United are going to miss out on the title to Manchester City but Bruno is still priced at the favourite at 6/5.
If we are going to look at players in the Manchester City side that are most likely to win the PFA Player Of The Year this season then the favourite according to the bookies is that of Ruben Dias, who like Fernandes, has totally transformed the side since his arrival. City haven’t seemed to replace Vicente Kompany since he left but Dias seems to be the perfect player to fill this hole, and at 23-years old, has some serious potential to go on to become one of the best centre backs not just in the league, but in the world. He has created a wonderful partnership with John Stones and has ensured they have the best defensive record in the league.
And finally, looking at an outsider for the individual awards this year, then Harry Kane is certainly in with a shoot having registered 21 goals and 13 assists this year in a rather weak Tottenham side. He is priced at 3/1 to win the PFA Player Of The Year award, but due to his team’s performance, we believe he might just miss out to one of the others above. Whilst we wait for the news to be released from the PFA, many football punters have been migrating over to online casinos which can be found here, which are offering some of the best non-UK casinos for UK players to benefit from in alternative markets.
